Author Guidelines

When sending an article to the editorial office, it is recommended to follow the following rules:

  1. The manuscript is sent to the editorial office in an electronic version via the journal's website:  (https://www.jcpes.ru/jour). The article file must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (with the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf).

    The total volume of materials should not exceed 10 A4 pages (in some cases by agreement with the editorial board the volume can be changed).

    The article should be presented by the following information blocks in strict order:

    UDC class number (Times New Roman, 11 pt, on the left edge of the page);

    the article title (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in bold, in the center of the page);

    authors initials and surnames (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in bold, in the center of the page); the author's affiliation is indicated by a number (in the form of an upper index, in italics) after the surname. If all authors have equal affiliation there is no need to put down indexes; the author for correspondence is indicated by * separated a comma in the index;

    names of organizations: the official full name of the organization, the city of the organization’s location and the country are given (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in italics, in the center of the page), the ordinal number is placed before the name of the organization in the form of a superscript in accordance with the authors sequence and affiliation;

    the email address of the contact person responsible for correspondence with the editorial board (marked with an asterisk* in the list of authors) (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in the center of the page);

    article abstract in Russian no less than 5-6 sentences (Times New Roman, 11 pt);

    keywords for article in Russian no more than 5-7 words / phrases (Times New Roman, 11 pt);

    — it is recommended to structure the article text with the following main sections (at the choice of the authors): "Introduction", "Methods and objects of research", "Theoretical analysis", "Experimental part", "Results and their discussion", "Conclusion";

    data on funding and commendation are provided at the end of the text if necessary (Times New Roman, 10 pt, italics);

    list of references is recommended to organize not only with Russian sources (Times New Roman, 10 pt, width alignment);

    the article title in English (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in bold, in the center of the page);

    authors initials and surnames in English (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in bold, in the center of the page);

    names of organization in English – the official name of the organization, the city of the organization 's location and the country are given (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in bold, in the center of the page), its ordinal number is placed before the name of the organization in the form of a superscript in accordance with the authors sequence and affiliation;

    abstract in English (Times New Roman, 11 pt);

    keywords in English (Times New Roman, 11 pt).

     Page Format

    - scenic field: the width of the line on the page is 160 mm;

    - margins: top, bottom, left, right is 2.5 cm;

    - paragraph (red line) is 1 cm;

    - line spacing is single;

    - alignment of the main text in width.

    Text format

    - Times New Roman font, main size is 11 pt, auxiliary size (data on funding and acknowledgements, references) is 10 pt;

    - the spacing after and before the paragraph should not be used;

    - a dash between words is a long dash with spaces (preferably fixed) on both sides, a fixed space makes through Ctrl + Shift + space bar;

    - a dash between numbers is a long dash without spaces, for example 3-5;

    - angular quotation marks are desirable, i.e. «text»;

    - formulas and equations are in the center of the page, the formula number (if any) should be nailed to the right edge of the page; formulas should be editable and inserted into the text using the standard Microsoft Word formula editor. References to formulas should be in the text in parentheses in the following format: "... the calculation is carried out according to formula (1) without taking into account ...";

    - tables are located in the center of the page (the table title is 11 pt, the text in the table is 10 pt); the table name is written before the table (11 pt, in the center of the page), references to tables in the text are mandatory;

    - the drawings, diagrams and other graphic images are located in the center of the page; the drawing name is written under the drawing (Times New Roman, 11 pt, in the center of the page); references to the drawings in the text are mandatory.

    Latin letters in the text and in formulas are always italicized unless there are special instructions. The exceptions are sin, tg, ctg, lim, const, etc., and the designations of chemical elements: Li, Ca.

    All figures are straight unless otherwise specified. Decimals are written separated by a dot (for example, 3.77).

    The signs of operations in formulas are always straight (for example, å, ( ), { }, = , + and so on).

    Punctuation marks in the text and formulas are direct (for example, !, ?, :, ; –, etc.)

    Abbreviations such as etc., i.e., because are typed with a fixed space.

    I.I. Ivanov, N.N. Petrov are typed with a fixed space.

    10 %, 40 °C (but 60°) are typed with a fixed space.

    Punctuation marks are not preceded by spaces, but only followed by them. There are also no spaces after the period at the end of the paragraph.

    No dots are placed at the end of headings that are centered or indented.

    A mandatory setting is to prohibit hanging lines (put down: Paragraph ® Position on the page).

    Design of literary sources

    The list of references should contain only publications those are references in the text/ References in the text are given in square brackets: the works are listed in the order of mention in the text; the description of publications is given in the original language, except for languages with non-Latin script for which a translation into Russian is provided. Recommended number of sources for original articles is 20-25, for review articles is at least 50.

  2. The accompanying documents. When submitting a manuscript to the editorial office of the journal, it is necessary to additionally upload files containing scanned images of completed and certified accompanying documents (in *.pdf format). The accompanying documents include an expert opinion on the possibility of publishing an article (done according to the requirements of the organization from which the work is submitted, if the work is submitted from several organizations, then the expert opinion is made from the first organization specified in the affiliation) from the place of work of the authors with the seal and signature of the head of the organization, the license agreement with the signatures of all co-authors (the form of the agreement is available at the link) and a letter from the authors indicating possible reviewers (the letter form is available at the link). The files are attached as additional data in the 4th step.
  3. Filling out an on-line form. For successful indexing of articles in domestic and international databases, when submitting a manuscript to the editorial office via the online form, it is necessary to enter all its metadata in detail separately:
    • It is necessary to fully fill in the personal data of all authors. The e-mail address of the author indicated as the contact person for correspondence will be published in the text of the article for communication with the team of authors, and will be freely available to Internet users and subscribers of the printed version of the journal.
    • Keywords. It is necessary to specify keywords from 3 to 10 that contribute to the indexing of the article in search engines. Keywords are separated by semicolons.
    • Language. It is necessary to specify the language in which the full text of the manuscript is written. In the case when the author publishes an article in two languages, it is necessary to specify double indexing by language (for example, [en; en]).
    • Additional data in the form of separate files should be sent to the editorial office along with the article immediately after downloading the main file of the manuscript. Additional files include accompanying documents, image files, source data (if the authors wish to submit them to the editorial board for review or at the request of reviewers), video and audio materials that should be published together with the article in an electronic journal. Before sending, you should enter a description of each file to be sent. If the information from the additional file is to be published in the text of the article, it is necessary to give the file an appropriate name (for example, the description of the image file should contain a numbered caption, for example: Fig. 3. Macro preparation of the removed cyst.).
    • Completing the submission of the article. After downloading all additional materials, you need to check the list of files to be sent and complete the process of sending the article. After completing the sending procedure (within 7 days), an email notification will be sent to the e-mail address specified by the authors when submitting the manuscript (the absence of a letter is a confirmation that the manuscript has not been received by the editorial board). The author can contact the editorial board (editor or reviewers) at any time, as well as track the stage of processing his manuscript through his personal account on this site.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The authors of the work declare that they have no conflict of interest. 

  3. The authors of the article state that their work does not contain false information or falsifications of data. The authors are guided by moral and ethical standards when submitting an article.

  4. The authors of the work consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation for the purposes related to the publishing of their article.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
